Chartered Accountants'(CA) Day is celebrated on July 1 every year to
commemorate the establishment of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
(ICAI) in 1949. The Institute celebrated its 73rd Founding day on thursday. On this
occasion the Mangalore Branch of SIRC of ICAI celebrated this momentous event
by hoisting the CA flag. The chief guest of this function was CA Gokuldas Pai,
Chairman, Washington Chapter of ICAI. The esteemed chief guest is also currently
working with the World Bank. The Mangalore branch of SIRC of ICAI is celebrating
its Golden Jubilee Year in 2020-21. The invitation card of the Golden Jubilee
National Conference “Swarn Parv” to be held, was officially launched during the
celebrations. During this occasion CA K. Subrahmanya Kamath, Chairman,
Mangalore ICAI, CA Abdur Rehman Musba, Vice Chairman, CA Prasanna Shenoy,
Secretary, CA Gautham Nayak, CA Gautham Pai were present. During the event,
Kits containing essential items were distributed to the needy by Shree Shree Sana
Dan Das Swamiji of Isckon. Senior members of the organisation like CA S.S. Nayak,
Immediate Past Chairman, CA Ananthapadmanabha, Past Chairman, CA M.N. Pai,
CA Chandrakanth Rao and CA Nitin J Shetty were also present during the event.
Today, as a part of its CSR activity and the celebration of 73 rd CA Day, the office
bearers of Mangaluru Branch of ICAI contributed Rs 73000/- to Balasamrakshana
Kendra,Kutharpadavu and handed it over to Shri Ananthakrishna Bhat, the
Convener of the program held at the Ashram.
The Mangalore branch of SIRC of ICAI is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year, and
to commemorate this occasion it has been conducting various useful and informative
programs, from the beginning of the golden jubilee year i.e from 18th August 2020
which have helped its members, students and public at large also. The members ofthis institute i.e. the CA’s are also playing an important role in helping the economyget back on its feet, after the COVID Crisis.
