
On 17th July, Saturday, the book “ Indian Constitution: An enlightening Overview” was
released in the programme held at the Mangalore Branch of ICAI premises. This book is
authored by Dr. P. Anantha Krishna Bhat who is a retired professor of Canara College.
To reach a larger audience this book has two versions, the English version which was
released by CA K.S. Kamath, Chairman, Mangalore Branch of ICAI, and the Kannada
version named as “Bharathada Samvidhana : Ondu Sundara pakshinota, was released
by CA S.S. Nayak, Immediate past chairman, Mangalore Branch of ICAI. CA K.S.
Kamath, emphasized that this book is the need of the hour as more people must be
aware of the provisions of the Indian Constitution. CA S.S. Nayak appreciated our
Hon’ble Prime minister Narendra Modi ji for the revocation of the Article 370 and hence
including Kashmir as a part of the Republic of India.
He also highlighted that before we,
the citizens of India ask for our rights, we must do our duties. The author. Dr. Anantha
Krishna Bhat, shared his experience on authoring this book and also shared some
informative facts about the Constitution.
On this occasion the Mangalore Branch of ICAI, has purchased a 100 hundred
copies of the newly released book and The Chairman of the District Red Cross society
CA Shantharam Shetty also said that in order to further support the Author, the district
Red Cross Society and The Rotary Club have also placed their order for these books.
Various dignitaries like Shri Rajesh Rao, Dr. Jayawantha Nayak, Shri Leelaksha
Karkera were also present during the event. The Programme was hosted by a CA
student Sahana.
